Valarie's battle with stage 4 breast cancer

Hi, my name is AJ Joblin I have created this fundraiser to help my mother Valarie. For those who don’t know her, she is the light to so many people’s darkest days, a natural giver when someone is in need, an amazing mother, and most importantly a resilient fighter. Valarie was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma HR+/ HER2 in February of 2017. By 2019 Valarie underwent six surgeries including her double mastectomy, as well as chemotherapy treatment, and physical therapy. In 2021 Valarie was announced cancer-free and started her remission treatment. This year as of February 2024 Valarie’s breast cancer has come back, only this time it is stage 4 the cancer has spread much more aggressively throughout her body to her spine, shoulder, sternum, lungs, and lymph nodes. Due to the stage she is in, and where the cancer has spread, she is facing a much more difficult journey than we were facing before. She will be receiving Docetaxel+ Trastuzamab+ Pertuzamab once every three weeks in hopes it will slow down the progression. Due to the results, my mother is looking at long-term chemotherapy treatment for the rest of her life, to make sure her cancer doesn’t progress to the rest of her body. We have hope and faith that we can adapt to this chapter in our lives. My family and I would be eternally grateful for any form of support in donating towards medical expenses, prayers for strength and wellness, and spreading the word about this fundraiser.
