David’s medical history Lt, Col (Rtd) David Gikera has been undergoing health challenges in the last couple of months.

What started as mere chest pains in July 2025 has turned into a life threatening medical condition that requires a specialized delicate procedure to save his life.

During this period, David has been admitted on various dates to Lanet Regional Military Hospital, Mater Misecordia Hospital, Bloom Hospital Nakuru and Karen Hospital . After several tests, doctors realized one of his kidneys had failed and was put on dialysis indefinitely. A CT - scan further revealed David has a serious and life -threatening condition that requires serious attention. He has, an aneurysm —a dangerous bulge in his aorta, the body’s main blood vessel. The cardiologists at Karen hospital recommended they fix 2 possibly 3 stents— a special tube—to support the weakened section of his artery. The procedure costs approximately Ksh.3 - 5 million (£29,000 / $38,000)

Unfortunately, due to his many hospital admissions, his insurance coverage has been exhausted and the family has been using their own resources. We are now seeking your help to raise the Kshs 5M (£29,000 / $38,000) is required for the Stent's Surgery.
