Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,
In the early hours of September 25, Craig Arrowood faced a terrifying medical emergency. Alone in his home, he collapsed to the ground and remained there for nearly three hours—unable to reach his phone or call for help. Through sheer determination, Craig managed to crawl to his phone and dial 911. He was rushed by ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.
After extensive testing—including CT scans, MRIs, and blood work—Craig was diagnosed with a spinal stroke affecting his T2 vertebrae. While he still has feeling in his extremities, his right leg and left hand are currently non-functioning. In the days following his stroke, Craig endured spiking fevers and severe dehydration. Doctors believe a combination of low blood pressure, a gastrointestinal virus, and electrolyte loss contributed to the stroke.
Craig was later admitted to the Encompass Rehabilitation Facility in Fitchburg to begin recovery. Unfortunately, his progress was interrupted by another fever and a serious setback: blood clots in his lungs. He was transferred back to St. Mary’s, where he remains under close medical care.
Craig is a loving son, a devoted friend, and a familiar face to many—whether through his work at the Wisconsin Legislature or behind the counter at the KwikTrip in Windsor. His warmth, humor, and dedication have touched countless lives. Now, he needs our help.
The road ahead will be long and grueling. Craig faces weeks—possibly months—of rehabilitation, medical expenses, and time away from work. We’re asking for your support to help ease the financial burden and allow Craig to focus on healing.
Any donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. If you’re unable to give, please consider sharing this page with others who might be able to help.
Thank you for standing with Craig during this difficult time. Your generosity and kindness mean the world.
With gratitude,
Friends and family
