For marshas medical bills due to throat cancer

I've sat here for countless hours trying to think of what to say or even where to begin on this.. most that know me, Becky Linck, rarely see me at a loss for words, to say the least lol usually I can't keep my mouth shut lol its a blessing and a curse what can i say but honestly there just aren't any words in the English language that justify the magnitude of or prepare you to hear your best friend of 30+ years tell you she has cancer.. she smiled at me n her mother and said, "i don't think it's that serious really.. it's more like a virus" lol no girl.. no it's absolutely not... see Marsha Gilliam has been the picture of health most her life.. n she just couldn't process that something was going on inside her body that she couldn't control... she made light of it for weeks.. even made the comment maybe she didn't need the surgery that her doctor and oncologist were absolutely recommending... u have to understand that there has never been an obstacle in her life she has come across that she didn't square up with, stare down n just completely obliterate with shear will power.. she is a force to be reckon with.. year after year I watched her just keep going no matter the obstacle or cost... she's a damn beast to say the least lol I knew it was coming... u know, the day u see that look in her eye that told you how scared she was without even a word being spoken... n there it was, the look... my best friend has cancer n shes scared to death... a piece of me wanted to cower in the corner n be the weak, over emotional sidekick I've always been to her rough n tough bad a**, go hard in the paint approach to life lol but it was my turn to be her rock.. n walking into that KU Med hospital room after her first surgery literally right before xmas 2022 to remove tonsil cancer, it was everything I could do to not break down n cry.. I come in loaded with $50 in scratcher lotto tickets, the book, "The Help" on tape n a bunch of sudoku puzzles cause I totally thought I was walking into a tonsillectomy n I'd be eating popsicle with her, gambling n watching real housewives while laughing n talking smack like we always do.. I found her in the fetal position, pale, with a drainage tub hanging out, an incision across her neck from ear to ear, a feeding tube n completely unconscious... shock doesn't even remotely express it.... she slept for 3 days, when she did wake, she would refuse pain meds n then fall right back to sleep... leave it up to her to not even want the good drugs when she absolutely had every right to them lol (we are not the same bahaha) Marsha then went through 3 subsequent emergency surgeries that week... she was sent home each time only to come back vomiting large amounts of blood... see they didn't just take her tonsils where the tumor started they had to remove all the way into the muscle n almost to the inner lining of her esophagus.. throughout all this we had to tube feed her... one day after another shes going back to ku med for back to back surgeries... i was like umm girl u cant keep going under anesthesia, who do u think u are, Michael Jackson lol u see how even that ended n he was a millionaire lol after 4 surgeries in 6 days they got the bleeding to stop only by finding out she has a rare form of hemophilia that was causing her incisions to not clot and just continue to bleed... next was radiation.. I tried to prepare her for what was to come but as per usual she thought she was going to power through, work, go to 6 back to back rounds of radiation n continue her usual life... by week 2 it was apparent that working while doing radiation was not helping her recovery but did she stop? Nope lol.. her boss n co-workers that thankfully she has an amazing relationship with had to sit her down n tell her she needed to take some time off... she wasn't trying to hear any of it lol she's still got a 17 year old at home, not to mention 2 adult kids and 2 beautiful grand babies she's been working to give the best lives too for as long as she can recall... when Marsha finally accepted she didn't have the strength to do both work n go to radiation everyday... it drained every bit of control in the situation from her.. shockingly being vulnerable wasn't her strength.. go figure lol n it has absolutely rocked her world.... now here we are, 4 surgeries, countless hospitalizations, feeding tubes, drainage tubes, multiple specialists n scans, 6 back to back rounds of radiation, 4 months off work n now out of FMLA so no income coming in n still not far enough along in her recovery for the doctor to sign off on her returning to work... lawd knows she's tried lol.... n as much as we love her new minnie mouse voice, im sure everyone of her customers would get a kick out of it, she just needs more time at home to fully recover.. to date she has tens of thousands of dollars in medical bills n they just keep coming in.. n u know what's not coming in? A paycheck... still she puts a smile on her face determined to see as much positive in her life as possible... she even removed all the food in her house with preservatives n things that she read that are "bad" for the body... (cant relate lol) said she was going to make sure she was helping her body recover.. i was the recipient of the junk food box she packed up n I'm happy to report I ate those little Debbie's with a smile on my face n no regret in my heart lol as her bestie I just wanted to help her in anyway so I was just doing my due diligence by getting rid of the sweets lol guys we've just got to help her... she's worked n saved her entire life.. she helps all around her... she provides for so many n now it's time for us to repay some of that kindness..... she's got enough on her plate without worrying about paying all these hospital bills.. let's share this gofundme n let's all donate to help ms.thang recover without the stress of possible bankruptcy from overwhelming medical bills..... do what u can.. and know that every penny will help to prove to not just Marsha but all of us the there is still good people out there... u just gotta ask (she actually will never, ever probably even if her life was falling apart ask) but I will... she has such an amazing support system around her n I know we all can at least try n make a dent in these bills!!! #MarshaMarshaMarsha #WhoopingCancersA**oneDayAtATime
