Hi, my name is Gabrielle Brewer and I am setting this up to help raise money for my sister Bailey and her husband Denver. Denver has been in and out of the hospital for 2 weeks now. He started in Iowa twice, then at Galesburg OSF, and finally, in Peoria at OSF. Denver had to get many blood tests, lumbar punctures, and many CT scans, and MRIs, and has a massive team of doctors in Peoria working to find what is the cause of Denver's pain. His blood and spinal fluid have been sent to Mayos and to a hospital in California. They know that he has Meningitis, but are not sure fully if it is viral or bacterial. He had a mass in his brain and as of yesterday it is smaller and he has white matter, which is not normal for a 25-year-old. He will have to have a follow-up MRI in a month to check on the mass on his brain to make sure it has not gotten bigger. He has a physical therapist because he is weak and has trouble with his right side. He can't hear out of his left ear and so he will need to see an ENT. He also has myocarditis and his liver is not functioning the way it should. When he is released from the hospital which they don't have a sure date on he will need an in-home health nurse to come to give him an iv of antibiotics for two weeks, and then 3-5 weeks of physical therapy if it is needed. It will be 10-12 weeks before Denver can go back to work, and that is if he is allowed to do linework after all of this.
