Kevin Amaya - Funeral expenses

Hi, my name is Jenni and I am helping to raise funds for Kevin who is my dear friend and the father of my youngest child Lynnea.Kevin Amaya has been having problems with his heart for a little over a year when he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. On Tuesday May 2nd he went to the emergency room with chest pain in Indiana. On Thursday they did a stress test which identified that his heart was not working well. The doctors then went in to explore what the problem was and maybe add or replace stints to help the problem. They found he had 100% blockage of his arteries. On Wednesday or Thursday (5/10 or 5/11) he goes in for heart bypass surgery. He is on blood thinners so they could not do the surgery right away. Lynnea and I will be driving to IN in the morning to support her father. He will have a long recovery after surgery and unable to work. Lynnea wishes she could help him with his recovery but he will need more help than she is able to give or provide in this circumstance. We are asking for help to pay for rehabilitation & aftercare since insurance will not cover all that is needed as well as rent, food and other miscellaneous necessities until he is able to get back on his feet and back on the road (he’s a trucker). Anything would help him immensely and his family would be eternally grateful. If you are able to give a monetary gift, we are so thankful as every dollar helps and counts. We are also asking for you to keep Kevin in your thoughts and prayers. 5/9/23 update - Lynnea is here spending time with her Dad!! We are glad to be here supporting Kevin. Talking through the process that stands before him can be overwhelming but we are trusting and praying that all will be alright… We so appreciate everyone’s prayers and support, our next update will be after surgery..
