Hi I’m the grandmother (Gookum/GooGoo) of Isabella Archibald who was suddenly ill and had to be medivac to Sick Kids hospital on July 14/25/ from Cochrane, Ont. She was diagnosed with chronic stage 5 end renal failure, Anca-negative Vasculitis and moderate left ventricle dilation of her heart. She is currently receiving 4 hours of dialysis 5 times a week and the treatment was done for the Anca-negative Vasculitis cleared her lungs 100% which were bleeding and good news her dilated left heart chamber went back to normal size and so everything was going smoothly until Monday, November 3/25 her bp suddenly dropped and heart rate was normal which puzzled nurses and doctor but an echo was scheduled that day at 1pm and she was found to have a blood clot lodged at the tip of her central line in her heart. Isabella was immediately admitted back into Sick Kids hospital with an aggressive dose of heparin thru intravenous and monitored closely to dissolve the blood clot. As of today after finding out that the blood clot hasn’t changed nor dissolved another echo will be done today and possibly surgery will be discussed to physically remove the blood clot. As her legal caregivers and grandparents her baba John D Archibald and I request for donations for Isabella’s parents to be with her during this difficult time as she needs all the support as she can receive. The funds will help a great deal with meals and incidentals should occur. Gifts and any support that Isabella may need as well.

Also to add that Isabella has infantile scoliosis and had 2 growing rods inserted into her spine 2 years ago and until she stops growing and a permanent rod will replace the 2 rods to keep her spine straight not perfect but enough not to interfere with her organs, so Isabella has been ongoing visiting hospital at Sick Kids since she was 1 years old. She is our lil hero and we call her our Princess Warrior of Taykwa Tagamou Nation.

uPDATE: Jan 23/26

Before Christmas, our FN Band suddenly cut off Isabella’s medical band funds that was available to her since 5 years approximately. NHIB decided to do cut our meals funds as well but in half. Toronto is expensive to live in especially near the Sick Kids hospital where Isabella needs to be due to her fragile health. Letters were sent to both organizations but NHIB denied our appeal and our FN has ignored our emails and telephone messages. It’s very sad and unfortunate that our own band is mistreating us this way and NHIB denied our doctor support letter. This is not right!

Today, Isabella still has blood clot and is still on Tinzaparin daily… echo coming up follow-up on blood clot.
