Fighting Forward with the Martins

We’re rallying around our amazing coworker and friend, Caitlin, who recently went through something incredibly tough.

On May 12th, she underwent surgery to remove several small tumors from her head. While the surgery itself went as planned, she faced unexpected complications afterward and began experiencing seizures. Because of this, she’s currently unable to drive for at least six months and is in the process of applying for disability benefits.

In the meantime, the financial strain has been heavy. One of her medications alone costs $1,350 a month, and there are additional treatments and medical expenses on the horizon. Through it all, she’s doing everything she can to stay strong—not just for herself, but for her big, beautiful family. She and her husband are raising nine kids—eight boys and one girl—five of whom still live at home.
