We’re reaching out on behalf of our dear team member and friend, Jose, who was recently in a serious scooter accident on her way home from work.

While we’re grateful she is expected to make a full recovery, Jose sustained multiple injuries — including a fractured jaw, broken elbow and wrist, and facial trauma. She faces upcoming jaw surgery and a long healing journey that will keep her from working for an unknown period of time.

Jose has been part of the SolBe family since March, and in that short time has become a deeply valued part of our community. Because she hasn’t yet met the eligibility requirements for paid leave, this situation puts her in an incredibly difficult financial position. SolBe is committed to offering Jose every form of support we can, but we also know she will need her wider community to rally around her.

Jose is originally from Chile, and her family is traveling from abroad to care for her during recovery. While she does have insurance, it will not cover the full cost of her medical treatment, therapies, medications, and daily living expenses like rent and food.

We’ve created this fund to provide Jose with some financial relief as she focuses on healing. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward helping her cover these essential costs.
