With love for Jin: supporting Red Nose Australia
We're Cathy, Izzy and Sophie and we're training for a triathlon this summer to raise funds for Red Nose. In November 2020, our close friends Gemma and Yen's loved baby, Jin, died suddenly and unexpectedly.
Gemma and Yen carried, loved, and brought to life their son. Jin gave our community in Canberra, across Australia and around the world, immense joy and strength.
After Jin's death, Gemma and Yen were supported by Red Nose, an organisation that supports and advocates for parents who have lost their child from miscarriage, stillbirth, sudden infant death, and other fatal causes. We would like to give back to this organisation that has kindly cared for our friends over the past year.
To prepare for Jin to be born, Yen and Izzy committed to the goal of completing a triathlon in November of 2020. It is in this spirit that we are preparing to undertake a triathlon in February this year to commemorate one year since his birth.
Anything you can chip in will help to fund lifesaving research and education to prevent babies dying, and vital support services to help grieving families rebuild their lives after devastating loss.
All funds raised are in honour of Jin. To find out more information about what you can do to support advocacy on pregnancy loss, please visit: https://rednose.org.au/
