Hello, my name is Crystal. I am writing this on behalf of my mom, Connie. She was recently told that she has several health diagnoses, the most severe being a liver transplant, but was also told she has a hole in her heart.

To give a little background on her and these diagnoses, she does not need a liver transplant due to any type of abusive behavior but other issues that led her to full-blown liver disease. Before they can go on to the transplant, she needs to have this hole in her heart fixed, which both of these surgeries will have to be done in Denver, Colorado. After her liver transplant, she will have to reside in Denver for 3-6 months. They are going to cover housing expenses, but she will need money for food, a reliable vehicle to rent while there, gas, and any other necessities that she may need. My brother and I will also be traveling back and forth while she has to have a caregiver at that time.

The cost of the surgeries will be covered, thank God! But we are asking for help for medications she will need, and months of recovery. Even with insurance, we are facing at least $7,000-$10,000 worth of expenses during all this time.
