Legal Fees to Keep Andres' Family Safe from Deportation

Hello, my name is Andres, and I’m a U.S. citizen. I’m writing this with urgency and heartbreak. My wife and our daughter—who is mentally disabled and now seriously injured—are facing deportation to Colombia, a country they fled to escape violence and instability.

Just a few weeks ago, our world was turned upside down. My wife and daughter were involved in a serious car accident. Our daughter was badly injured and is now recovering from both physical trauma and emotional distress. She already lives with developmental challenges that require constant care and specialized support. Now, with her injuries, she needs even more attention—medical treatment, therapy, and stability.

Tragically, the accident also brought their immigration status to the attention of authorities. Although we have been working to resolve my wife’s legal status and have been pursuing asylum, the incident triggered an immigration review. Now, both my wife and daughter are at risk of being deported back to Colombia.

We are terrified. Colombia is not safe for them—especially for our daughter, who would not have access to the specialized medical care and disability services she urgently needs. She would be placed in a completely unfamiliar, unsafe environment, without the support system she depends on.

We are doing everything we can, but time is running out. We urgently need to hire a qualified asylum attorney to help us fight to keep them here, where they belong—safe, stable, and together as a family.

We’re seeking to raise funds to cover:

• Retainer and legal fees for an experienced asylum attorney

• Immigration court costs and documentation fees

• Emergency living and medical expenses as our daughter recovers

This isn’t just about immigration—it’s about keeping a seriously injured, mentally disabled child safe and protecting the mother who has devoted her life to caring for her.
