Hello, my name is Ricardo Flores, the first son and second child of four to a loving family. Many of you may know me from growing up and others I met along our life paths. 

I've always found the upside part of life and lived it to its fullest. I am proud to say I did 9 years in Tae Kwon Doe, 7 years in the school band, and 6 years of military service. I always stayed busy and active and kept my health good. Life likes to come with a curve ball when you least expect it. 

I found out on Nov 5, 2023, that I have acute leukemia. It's shocking to me and my wife, family, and close friends. I've always cared for myself. Letting this reality hit me, that I now have a new battle to fight, is still shocking and unreal, but I must keep my head high and fight the fight. 

I will be starting chemotherapy, hopefully soon. I already set up an appointment, and that should lead to more visits and more treatment. All funds donated will go towards the treatments and medications needed to overcome this challenge and keep moving forward. 

I've never been a quitter, and this, for sure, is something I'm not going to give up on. I have support everywhere I go, and I have people waiting for me to get better, and that's what I intend to do. Thank you for taking the time to read this and show any support you have.
