Hello, my name is James.

I’m a quiet and kind person who has always tried to live with faith, love, and gratitude — even through the hardest moments. I’ve spent years caring for animals in need, taking in those who had no one else. Now, for the first time, I find myself needing help.

Fourteen years ago, my life changed in an instant when I was the victim of a hit-and-run car accident. I was left with serious injuries and metal pins and hardware in my knee. The driver was never found, and I never received any compensation for what happened. To make things even harder, the Spanish government refused to help me because I didn’t have the correct paperwork at the time.

Since that day, I’ve lived every day with pain — pain that makes it almost impossible to work or live normally. I have only about 30% mobility in my right leg, and even simple tasks can be exhausting and painful.

After so many years of struggling, I now have the opportunity to finally get an operation to remove the metal from my knee and start healing properly. But I face many obstacles: I need to renew my passport, fix my paperwork, and travel to England for the surgery. Unfortunately, I simply don’t have the means to do any of it on my own.
