Statement Regarding Draco
As many of you know, Draco – a 2-year-old Cane Corso cross – has had a difficult few months, passed between unsuitable homes and kennels. This kind of instability is especially tough on guarding breeds, and there were real concerns that the constant upheaval could impact his behaviour.
The good news is that Draco has now been officially surrendered into the care of Tilly’s Pack, who stepped in to take the lead after discussions with two other registered rescues. Together, these organisations will be working closely to give Draco the stability, rehabilitation, and support he desperately needs.
Draco will shortly be moving into a specialist rehab placement where he’ll have the time and space to decompress, be carefully assessed, and receive a personalised plan for his training and wellbeing.
However, Draco also has immediate health concerns that need urgent veterinary care. He has an eye infection that requires prompt treatment, his skin is in poor condition, and he is underweight. Left untreated, these issues will only worsen, so getting him seen by a vet quickly is a top priority.
Rehab and kennels are not cheap, and with the added cost of his veterinary care, we are asking for your support. Every contribution goes directly towards Draco’s health, rehabilitation, and the safe future he deserves.
To avoid him staying in kennels any longer than necessary, we are also seeking a foster placement – strictly pet- and child-free – with someone experienced in Cane Corsos or other guarding breeds. A foster home with a view to adopt will be prioritised.
Thank you to everyone who has already stepped up for Draco – with your help, we can finally give him the care, stability, and future he has been waiting for.
