With Bud’s medical bills after being hit by a car

Hi, I’m Kim and I’m trying to raise some funds to help my brother Jeff Hermes pay for the mounting bills for the emergency care for his sweet dog Bud. Right now Bud is at Blue Pearl emergency vet where he has been since Saturday afternoon. He will have to stay for 3-4 days. The car hit him on his left side and he has bruising to his liver and possibly kidney , lungs have fluid around them. He is on oxygen to help with the lungs and they are draining the fluid.

Bud’s story:

On Friday morning 2/10 Bud decided to take an unattended walk and as he cross the road he was hit by a car. The driver did stop and felt awful. Jeff pulled up seconds after it happened and he saw Bud running down the Mountain Bay Trail in Howard,WI. Jeff ran after him and called to him, but Bud was too far ahead and he decided to run off into the woods. Jeff, his parents, my self and friend went out and looked for Bud. I contacted Get Toby Home and they immediately began to put a plan in place and had flyers designed and printed and ready to distribute and volunteers to help. Several People looked all through out Friday into the evening. So many wonderful people offered to help! Several people went back out Saturday morning to begin looking again and around 10:10am Saturday 2/11 Bud decided to make his presence known by letting out a low bark and I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. Seeing Bud laying down with his head up was amazing!
