Ok friends and family, this past week has been nothing shy of a roller coaster ride. As many of you know, Angel Lee was deployed in Iraq. She started having some mobility issues and went to the Dr's. An MRI was performed and it was determined that she had a mass, the scariest words I think I've ever heard. She was flown from Iraq to Baghdad, were she had to have a shunt put in to relieve all the pressure and spinal fluid from her brain, she was diagnosed with JPA Juvenile Pilocyctic Astrocytoma. Words I would have never thought I'd ever hear. The worry about her being alone and half way around the world was gutwrenching for all of us. Once she was stable, she was transported to Germay and then to Walter Reed Military Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland. The Military has covered all the medical & transportation expenses for Angel. They even went as far as setting up temporary housing for Courtney and Chris so that they could be there with her for yet another surgery. And we are so grateful to The United States Army and all of Angel's friends, soldiers and especially Sgt Cunningham, she was Angel's Medical Escort and she never left her side and always kept us up to date on everything. Angel has a long road to recovery, she will have both physical and occupational therapy, but she will come out of this like the Champion she is!

Courtney and Chris both gave great jobs and have given them as much time as they need off, but its without pay. And the mortgage, car payments, insurance and all that entails still comes due.
