That ugly thing we call Cancer.

First, I want to say no one never wants to do one of these pages. But I've set this one for my Sister Alice. Cancer took half our family. And Alice is my last living sibling. Thank you very much! These are her own words...

My name is Alice Vescovi. I was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer in 2018. I had a double mastectomy, thinking the cancer would not come back. For the next few years it was in remission. In 2019 I was faced with another challenge, except this time it wasn't for me. My husband, Peter, was diagnosed with brain cancer. He gave a good fight and unfortunately was taken from us in 2020. In 2021, my family was faced with yet another cancer battle, this time, it would be my sister Maryann. She was diagnosed with metastasized cancer from breast cancer to the spinal fluid. She to would give a great fight, but was also taken from us in 2021. In addition, my mother started her fight against her metastasized breast cancer stage 4. Eventually the cancer took her from us in 2024. Now here is where my journey continues, in 2024, I was diagnosed with stomach cancer stage 3. I went thru surgery and chemo to erradicate the cancer. I was told that my blood needed to be monitored, due to elevating levels. Now in 2025, I have been diagnosed with liver cancer stage 4. The doctors have said that this is a very agressive cancer and with treatment I have been given 6months to a year. I will continue to fight the hardest battle of my life.
There are too many things to list, that I have to do before I leave Here are just a few- My daughter Ashley is getting married in September and I would like to walk her down the aisle. I would like to spend as much time with friends and family and my grandkids as possible. Time is something that no one can take from us, not mention the memories. My family has been consumed by cancer. I am here to say Cancer Sucks! I will make every last minute worth it! I am willing to do anything to keep cancer away as long as possible. I am asking for prayers. I believe that you never have enough of them. My faith continues to support me during all of the difficult times. I want to thank everyone for their continued support of myself and my family during this time. Sending love to everyone.
