Hi, my name is Sandi Leonard and I’m looking for support in helping make my wish happen to get my husband Rick a service dog. As many of you know Rick has struggled for about 28 years with his back, which has become a disability for him.

Being vulnerable and transparent, these past couple of years have been very hard on our family, physically and financially. It has been on my heart to get Rick a companion to be along side of him everyday. I feel that a service dog would be a good fit for his daily life, emotionally and physically. With a service dog comes some added expenses. I have started this page to be transparent and ask for help if anyone feels led to do so.

The funds will be used to help for the cost of a puppy, vet expenses, and some initial training. Specialized training will be needed and that’s the expensive part.

I feel like Rick having this special companion will help him deal with struggles of everyday life and the constant pain he is in.
