With a cover up tattoo of my scoliosis to stop the bullying

Hi friends!

my name is Laura and at the tender age of 11, my thoracic collapsed. Aged 12 I had to undergo 9 hours on the operating table.

Unfortunately the surgery didn’t work and the whole of my spine has collapsed into adjacent curve disease.

I will not have anymore surgery for many reasons and it is advised that I consider it very carefully anyhow. It would end my career instantly and life would be very much compromised.

When I go overseas, I get a lot of staring, whispering, pointing of fingers and sometimes, people laugh at me. I am incredibly deformed.

So, after much research and hunting, I have found an artist who will draw my X Ray in my picture and tattoo it to my spine, in the hopes to educate the public and make my life a little easier and I might be able to feel more acceptance from the world.

I have never asked anyone for a thing my whole life. I work, I’m a student doctor and I have lived alone since the age of 17.

After a severe car crash in 2022, my life changed drastically and worsened my condition (I was stationary and a truck flew into my rear and knocked me unconscious).

So as I am limited to how much physical work I do, I ask for just any small donations anyone can make towards what will hopefully be, a little more peace.
