With a costly operation on my little poodle Rosie.

Hi, my name is Maxine and I'm trying to raise funds to help me to pay for Rosie's (my little poodle) vet bills. The cost could go as high as 6 thousand dollars. I know many people believe that it's crazy to put that much money in an animal, but she is so much more than just a dog to me. She is my friend and my emotional support animal.She has severe glaucoma in one eye and it is possible that it might have to be removed and it's a very costly procedure.She also has a few teeth that need removing, and the estimate I got from three different vets is between 1,,600$ and 1,800$. I have been treating the glaucoma with drops from the vet but it is not helping anymore. Her eye is now bulging and it could become life threatening. According to my vet, the glaucoma was caused from being struck in the eye with something, possibly a belt buckle as she is still terrified of them and other things such as remote controls ect. Which were caused by the previous owner.She was also very malnourished when I rescued her. She has been with us 8 years and she is still afraid of most men and certain objects such as ,remote controls and canes. She was only two years old when I got her, but. those two years were without love and affection. Just cruelty.

She is my third rescue but two have passed. They were with us for over 15 years an we miss them still.

I have always been a very proud person, but I am pleading for help.

We are not rich people and if I could do something else I would. I have been able to pay for her meds and some of the costs, but We just can't manage the high costs that vets are charging now. I have tried to be as open and honest in writing her story, but there is so much more this little dog has accomplished. I just can't imagine my life without her . She is only 10 years of age and she still has so much love to give.
