Logline: In the frontier of the Wild West a young witch is assigned to guard a portal to the Netherworld where she must protect her town from supernatural monsters and win over the less-than-friendly townsfolk.
A Little About Me
My name is Tallinn Kiefer and I am a screenwriter who has been working in the entertainment industry for 8 years. I’ve worked as a producer and writer creating several TV shows for pocket.watch’s Ulitmate Mishmash Series (Hulu and Amazon). I’ve also worked as an assistant for the Writers’ Room of the TV series Star Trek: Picard (Paramount+).
I’m raising funds to make my short film, “Witch of the Wild West”. This story contains everything I love about storytelling: comedy, action, romance, magic, and really cool costumes!
A Little About This Story
It’s a fun story about a friendly witch who uses her wits, charm, and a little bit of dark magic to escape her own hanging. But underneath that it’s really about community and the lengths we go to find belonging.
My Goals
This short is the opening scene to a longer script I wrote, a 30-minute supernatural western comedy pilot (imagine Buffy the Vampire Slayer but set in the Wild West). My goal is to enter this short into film festivals and contests, get my work in front of industry professionals and use this as a proof of concept to sell my idea as a tv show.
My Team
I have an incredible team of filmmakers who are on board to help me make this short.

How Your Donations Will Be Used
The money I raise here will all go to production expenses: Cameras, lighting gear, period-specific costumes and sets, props, stunts, visual effects and more. No matter how much we raise this short will be amazing because I feel so passionately about bringing this story to life but your contributions will be the difference between CGI and sock puppets.
