Wish for Lise

This is Lise, a sweet 21 month old little girl from North Vancouver, who was recently diagnosed with a terminal illness. After discovering a lump on her leg, doctors  informed Lise's parents that their little girl has Stage 4 Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma, which is a rare & aggressive cancer. Although doctor's have been able to successfully remove the tumor, they also discovered that it has already spread to her lungs.

She will begin palliative chemotherapy in about a week to help keep her a little more comfortable and hopefully extend the already too little time she has left with her family.

We are raising funds to help Lise's family through this heartbreaking tragedy by trying to alleviate some of the financial and emotional stress of this situation.

As Lise's mother has only recently returned to work after her maternity leave, she does not have enough hours accumulated in order to qualify for "compassionate care" leave and is forced to be at work instead of being where she should be; at home caring for her terminal baby girl. 
 
While the news is still very recent and the reality has barely had time to sink in, her mom and dad are very much aware that time is of the essence and they would really like to give Lise and her three siblings an amazing and magical vacation in Disneyland, where they can share some great memories and she can meet her favorite Disney character, Minnie Mouse! 

Being aware that their finances are tight, we decided to contact the Make-A-Wish Foundation on their behalf, in the hopes that the foundation would be able to help make their wish come true. Sadly, because Lise is under 3 years old, they are unable to grant her a wish.

Because this is so important to them, they have decided to persevere and try to make it happen on their own, despite finances. They are planning to make the trip to Disneyland on April 13th.

Please help us to grant her family's final wish to make a little magic for Lise by alleviating some of the financial & emotional stress.

Any funds raised above the vacation expenses will be put towards Lise’s future care, including any medical/treatment expenses incurred as well as assisting them during times where they may not be able to work while caring for Lise.
