Wells Thorin Shepherd born on January 3, 2021 has been battling health issues since he was just two weeks old. After spending many days in Children's Hospital, Wells received an unfortunate diagnosis; a genetic condition called Harel-Yoon syndrome. This condition is extremely rare, with only 9 other documented cases in the world. With this condition, Wells was also given the prognosis of Cataracts in both eyes, which he had surgery to remove. Unfortunately, at this time, there is no cure for Harel-Yoon and minimal research is available. Wells will need many treatments throughout his life and we want to provide as much support for his parents, Michaila & Dillon Shepherd, as we can. We are raising money to aid in the medical costs, and to make up for the time They will need to take off from work. Any amount of donation will help.
