Heyyy guys!! My name is Lara Menegale, the writer & director of WISHBONE FEVER, and I’m raising funds to support the making of my third short film.

Logline: Drawn to study how women heal from domestic violence, Odessa becomes entangled in the stories of two strangers, only to uncover a truth that will change her life forever.

WISHBONE FEVER is a psychological thriller with dark comedy elements, exploring how women survive, suppress, explode, deny, and ultimately reclaim themselves . At its core, this film is about female rage, not as something to be softened, justified, or feared, but as a necessary and transformative force.

The story is told through a fast-paced, fragmented structure, blending psychological tension with dark, ironic humour, where fear, anger, and irony sit uncomfortably close together. Its tone and visual language draw inspiration from Gone Girl and Black Swan, combined with the raw rage of Pearl and the sharp, self-aware dark comedy of Fleabag.

We're raising funds to support the production and completion of this film, including equipment, locations, and post-production delivery. Every contribution directly supports the practical and creative work needed to make the film at the level it deserves.
