Support our 2nd Annual Giving Day and help us raise funds for the opportunities, experiences and enrichment activities that make life at WKGS so special.
We are proud to launch the 2nd West Kirby Grammar School Annual Giving Day — a celebration of our community spirit, generosity, and shared commitment to creating the best possible experience for every student at WKGS.
This year, our Annual Giving Day will once again centre around our whole-school Wirral Way Sponsored Walk. On Friday 10th July, students will take part in an almost 12-mile walk between West Kirby and Heswall, bringing together students, staff, families and supporters for a memorable and rewarding day.
All funds raised this year will go directly to the West Kirby Grammar School Fund — our registered school charity, No. 514834 — supporting opportunities and experiences that enhance student life beyond core classroom provision.
As schools continue to face an increasingly challenging funding climate, the School Fund plays an important role in helping us maintain the breadth of opportunities that make life at WKGS so special. Donations raised through this campaign will help us support enrichment activities and wider student experiences across the school, including:
- enabling PE fixtures, tournaments and competitions to continue, so students can represent WKGS and benefit from competitive sport;
- supporting the maintenance of our climbing wall, built in memory of Jess Baker, allowing students to access adventurous and character-building activities;
- helping to subsidise educational visits and wider enrichment opportunities, ensuring memorable experiences remain accessible to as many students as possible;
- contributing to WKGS Wins, including our rewards shop, which celebrates student achievement, effort and contribution to school life.
The Wirral Way Walk has long been a special part of school life. It is physically demanding, but also a powerful shared experience: students walk together, encourage one another, and take pride in raising money for a cause that directly benefits the WKGS community.
We warmly invite parents, carers, alumni, family members and friends of the school to support this year’s Annual Giving Day by sponsoring a student, sharing the appeal, or making a donation of any size.
Every contribution will help us continue to provide the opportunities, experiences and moments of recognition that enrich school life and support students’ personal development, wellbeing and sense of belonging.
