Wireless thermometer for Clevedon Marine Lake

*** UPDATE *** 7th Aug 22 ***
Dear lovely crowd funders,
Thank you for your generosity and patience. We are now delighted to announce the first of our two proposed sensors is installed, up and running, has completed its "sea trials" and is reporting the lake temperature at the deep end every 15 minutes. At the time of writing this, it is, 21.2C
The sensor for the shallow end is significantly more involved to install and will follow later.
A web interface to access the temperature readings will eventually be incorporated into the Clevedon Marine Lake website but in the interim, as a small "thank you" for your kind contribution, here's early access for you via the test/development/proof of concept website. Enjoy 

Would you like to know the temperature of the water before you get in the lake? The question ‘what is the temperature today?’ is the most asked question on the lake website and Facebook groups. Tim, one of the lake trustees has done some research and has a quote for a system where we could have two thermometer probes in the lake which send a signal to a hub, which will then feed on to our website. Giving us a real time temperature all day everyday.
The lake is run by a charity and wonderful volunteers, therefore we are launching this fundraiser to try and raise enough money to install this system in time for the winter when the numbers on the thermometer are the hot topic of conversation.
We would ideally like to raise enough to have two temperature probes, one at the deep end and one at the shallow end.
