With the rising fears of Coronavirus (COVID-19), CDC has strongly recommended that all music venues shut down to promote social distancing.
Though this is a great way to prevent the spread of the virus, it has also put hundreds of hard-working employees out of a job for weeks, if not months.
It is our community obligation to help flatten the curve of new COVID19 infections and as we work to help provide resources and information to support staff during these unknown and unprecedented times, we are also asking for our community's support to help our bartenders, wait staff, production crew, sound and production team, and security to cushion the blow of this incredibly important and sudden loss of income.
This only goes to the staff of Wire and not towards the venue, owners or any of the venue bills. This is strictly for the staff that is out of work for the weeks to months to come...
These are the people that spend hours, days, weeks, months; into making sure you have the best night of your lives at your favorite concert. And many simply cannot get paid right now. This fund is to offer a relief stipend to any employee of WIRE that has been put out of work. Our community depends on us to keep our music scene alive and these are the people that make that possible.
Please consider donating anything you may be able to afford.
100% of proceeds will be sent to employees of WIRE who have been placed into temporary unemployment.
Thank you for your patronage and dedication to keeping our music scene alive.
