Wiradjuri Family Rebuild After Devastating Fire
Donation protected
Dear friends and supporters,
We are here to rally together as a community and extend our unwavering support to a remarkable First Nations mother and children and her non First Nations partner and in laws who have recently experienced an unimaginable tragedy. Jarin Baigent, a proud Wiradjuri woman, and her partner Simon Spencer and their Wiradjuri bubs, are reeling from the devastating loss of their family home in Balgowlah, consumed by a fierce house fire on May 7. To compound this heart-wrenching situation, Simon's parents have also lost their house in the same devastating incident.
Jarin, a matriarch renowned for her unwavering dedication in advocacy, has been a driving force behind the transformative initiative, Trading Blak, providing opportunities for First Nations buisness owners and calling for accountability within the industry. Now, it's our turn to rally behind her family in their time of need.
The fire has completely destroyed their home, leaving them with nothing but ashes and fragments of memories. The loss they have endured is not just material, with their sentimental objects, photo albums, clothes, furniture, toys and tech, it's a profound emotional blow that tests their resilience and determination to rebuild. While the strength of their spirits remains unyielding, they cannot do it alone.
Our collective support can make an immense difference in helping Jarin and Simon, and Simon's parents rebuild their lives from the ground up. The funds raised through this GoFundMe campaign will directly contribute to providing them with essential resources, such as secure housing, clothing, furniture, and other immediate needs as they begin the arduous process of rebuilding their lives.
Let us embrace the power of our united community and demonstrate the true meaning of compassion, solidarity, and support. No contribution is too small, as every act of kindness has the potential to create a lasting impact. Even if you are unable to donate, you can still play a vital role by sharing this campaign with your network, raising awareness, and helping us reach individuals who may have the means and willingness to assist.
Together, we can alleviate their burden and provide a glimmer of hope in this dark time. Together, we can help a family rebuild ❤️
