Miau!

Mein Name ist Cookie, ich bin ein groooßer roter Kater und ich habe mir am 07.03.2021 meine neuen Menscheneltern ausgesucht. Von Anfang an habe ich mich in meinem neuen Zuhause sehr wohl gefühlt und mittlerweile sind wir schon ein Rudel von 2 Katzen, 2 Katern und 2 Menschen.

Da ich ein paar mal erbrochen hatte, wurde ich beim Tierarzt untersucht und dabei wurde am 27.10.2022 ein malignes Lymphom im Darm festgestellt. Mein Tierarzt sagte, dass man nichts machen kann und überließ mich meinem Schicksal. Meine Menschen wollten das jedoch nicht hinnehmen und fuhren direkt den nächsten Tag mit mir zu einer Tierklinik, die 2 Stunden Autofahrt entfernt ist.

Dort wurde uns gesagt, dass es eine reelle Chance gibt, dass ich - mit einer Chemotherapie - noch einige Jahre weiterleben kann.

12 Wochen sind zunächst für die Therapie vorgesehen und die Gesamtkosten belaufen sich (voraussichtlich) auf stolze 6650 €, ohne die Fahrtkosten zur Tierklinik und zurück.

Meine Menschen haben trotzdem nicht lang gezögert und die Therapie begonnen.

Nach 4 Wochen wurde festgestellt, dass das Lymphom schon etwas zurückgegangen ist und das merkt man mir auch an. Ich kann schon wieder wie am ersten Tag an meinem Catwalk hochspringen!

Leider sind die Kosten derart hoch, dass es kaum noch möglich ist unseren normalen Alltag zu bestreiten.

Da es meinen Menscheneltern unangenehm ist zu fragen, habe ich es hiermit selbst in die Hand genommen.

My name is Cookie, I am a biiig red tomcat an I choosed my new human parents on March 7th, 2021.

From the beginning I felt very comfortable in my new home and meanwhile we are a pack of 2 cats, 2 tomcats and 2 humans.

Since I had vomited a few times, I was examined by the vet and a malignant lymphoma was found in my intestines on October 27th, 2022. My vet said there was nothing that could be done and left me to my fate.

However, my humans did not want to accept this and drove with me to an animal clinic the next day, which is a 2-hour drive away. There we were told that there was a real chance that I could live for a few more years - with chemotherapy.

12 weeks are initially planned for the therapy and the total costs amount to (probably) 6650 €, without the travel costs to the veterinary clinic and back. Nevertheless, my people did not hesitate for long and started the therapy.

After 4 weeks it was determined that the lymphoma had already receded somewhat and you can tell that. I can jump up my catwalk like I did on day one!

Unfortunately, the costs are so high that it is hardly possible to continue our normal everyday life.

Since my human parents are uncomfortable asking, I'll just ask myself
