Support me in bringing to life a musical dream ~ seeded by the gifts of ancestral reconnection
It has been 4 years since the recording of my debut album, Hilos Sagrados , and since its release, my path has continued to deepen, my spiritual studies strengthening and the journey of reconnecting with my ancestral lineages and traditions has continued to open.
Throughout the lessons, experiences and inspirations of the past 4 years, I have been nurturing new songs and with them has arrived the dreams and visions for their release. It is an honor to share my upcoming musical project: a 4-Song EP rooted in the language and teachings of Afro-Indigenous spirituality.

About the EP
This EP will be composed of 4 songs, each one in honor of a different Orixá ~ Xango, Yemanja, Oxossi and Oxum.
These songs are a blending of traditional Candomblé song lyrics in the West African language of Yorùbá, with my original lyrics in English and Portuguese, and adaptations to the guitar.
This EP will be produced by musical artist and producer, Markandeya and recorded in his studio in Sweden, in August/September.
Bringing this Project to Life
The vision for this musical project involves the talents of many ~ guest musicians who will support each track with a variety of musical instruments to enhance the essence of each song, as well as photography, videography and artwork to accompany the songs and their release into the world.
While I continue to hold big visions and intentions for collaborations with musicians, artists, photographers and videographers on this project, this aspect depends heavily on the amount of funds raised. The below breakdown includes an estimated budget to bring this full dream into being.

About the Artist ~ Winter Jendayi
Winter Jendayi is a singer, musician and ceremonialist whose path and work is rooted in earth-based healing arts. For over a decade she has been a devoted student within various Indigenous traditions, as well as, relearning and reconnecting with her own ancestral ways of West Africa, Turtle Island and Europe.
Singing since she could talk, Winter is a multi-instrumentalist who is self-taught on the guitar and has a background in classical music. For as long as she can remember, music has been a major part of her life and since the age of seven she has been immersed in musical study.
Winter’s relationship with music has been in direct correlation with the spiritual and cultural path she walks and the healing she’s experienced within it. Her voice has been described as both angelic and strong, while her songs have brought deep healing to many.
The Story behind the Songs
My connection with the Orixás first took place (consciously) through prayer songs when I was stepping into my journey of Indigenous healing traditions in 2014. Over time, as I deepened in the understanding of the Orixás as a part of my own ancestral heritage, my reconnection journey continued to open through Afro-Brazilian spiritual paths. In 2020 I was blessed with the opportunity to study + learn with Mestre Amen Santos, in a space of Candomblé rituals, drumming and songs. It is here that I truly began to familiarize with the language of Yorùbá and received the Candomblé songs that are a part my EP.
While the path of study within Candomblé (and Ifá) is a lifelong journey of deep initiations and unwavering devotion, I recognize my place as a humble student, still in the very beginnings of my own journey with so much to learn. For me, working with these songs and weaving them with my own contemporary expression (with permission of course) is my personal way of sharing my ongoing story of reclamation, and what can be born of it, even in the midst of the journey ~ These songs are reclamation-in-action and continue to bring me healing and guidance.
In addition to the Candomblé lyrics these songs carry, the musicality also holds influences of Indigenous Brazilian Amazonian music, another important part of my path and life. From experiences of cultural immersion and musical study, and years of nurturing friendships and building alliances with spiritual leaders of the Huni Kuin, Yawanawa and Noke Koî, my musical trajectory is forever touched by the rhythms and heartbeat of the Amazon Forest, it's peoples, and medicines.

This EP is a humble offering, an embodiment of learning and growing, of reconnecting ancestral threads which have been severed, and celebrating the beauty of the diaspora and the spectrum of Afro-Indigenous expression.
I am aiming to release this EP throughout the second half of 2026.
Thank you for your belief in my artistry and medicine and for trusting in my vision and dreams. May these songs give back to you for all of your support, and much more.
In gratitude,
Winter
