ICE Caledonia Ltd.

Hello, I am Jon and I am the director of ICE Caledonia Ltd. - 'A plea to the communities of Scotland' - We will bring ICE to your county!

***UPDATE*** - We will be announcing the confirmed venues and dates shortly!***

Due to COVID-19, many permanent ice rinks across Scotland have remained closed. Some even now being used as gyms and spinning halls. Also many of the large city winter festivals have now been cancelled. Ice users (skaters, ice hockey players, curlers and public skaters have not been able to take to the ice for months).

The company is raising funds for our #GetScotlandSkating tour of Scotland. Please see below the reasons for starting the fundraising campaign and how the money will be used.

Anyone who donates will also receive a 'GOLDEN TICKET' which, will offer 'FREE' admission (up to x4 visits per week) to ANY of the rinks that will be in operation.

USE OF FUNDS RAISED:
* The funds raised will enable local communities to host temporary 'real' ice rinks throughout Scotland.
* The funds will also create new employment opportunities for: Event Team Members and Ice Technicians.

PROJECT LOCATIONS & DATES - 2020/2021 Winter Tour - December 2020 thru' May 2021
Aviemore ICE  - Aviemore, Inverness-shire - December & Easter Break

Each winter, temporary ice rinks 'pop up' around the UK. Sadly the larger festivals have been cancelled.
The larger scale events see many people gather and this is exactly why they have been cancelled to discourage large gatherings and assist in reducing risk of COVID via social distancing.

Our Winter Ice Rinks provide 'real' temporary ice to smaller community groups, villages and towns across Scotland. We are also creating local jobs at each event site.

We do our best to provide ICE to patrons that are community led. The systems we use are energy efficient and use as much recycled products as possible.

The nature of this fundraising is to assist the local groups, towns and villages to install and operate an ice rink for at least 20 days. 'Especially where ice is limited or not available at all'

We appeal to you, the community to assist in raising funds to #GetScotlandSkating and to assist with the provision of ice to these communities.

Anyone who donates will also receive a 'GOLDEN TICKET' which, will offer 'FREE' admission (up to x4 visits per week) to ANY of the rinks that will be in operation.

We thank you, in advance for your donations.

Best wishes,

Jon
