Hello, my name is Jack.
This summer, I spent two weeks in Nepal volunteering on a service trip. Our group worked on renovating a rural primary school called jwalamukhi basic school on the outskirts of Kathmandu . Repairing classrooms, painting walls, and creating a brighter, safer space for the children to learn.
During my time there, I spoke with the head teacher, Anil Rupakheti who shared something that really stayed with me. He told me how cold it gets in the winter months due to alpine weather, and how the children come to school without proper warm clothing. For some, the school uniform is the only set of clothes they own, and when temperatures drop, its impossible stay warm. This is an emergency
I want to help change that.
This fundraiser aims to provide winter uniforms and warm clothing for all 134 students at the school. The total cost is €1,000, which will cover jackets, sweaters, and other essentials to keep every child warm through the cold season.
Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards purchasing these uniforms locally in Nepal, supporting both the children and the community.
These kids are bright, kind, and full of potential. A warm uniform may seem like a small thing, but it makes a huge difference helping them stay healthy, comfortable, and ready to learn.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support you can give. Together, we can make sure these children stay warm and continue their education with dignity and hope.
