Winter is Coming — Help Injured Wild Turtles Survive!

Autumn has arrived, and the cooler temperatures have me thinking ahead to winter. This year, I’ll be caring for at least 11 injured wild turtles, each needing constant attention, proper heating & lighting, food, medications, wound management, and clean water to survive the cold months.

As a licensed wildlife rehabilitator, I work entirely as a volunteer and receive no federal, state, or local funding. We depend on our communities to support the work we do—it truly takes a village to give these innocent creatures a fighting chance and I am always so grateful for your support!

Your contribution will go toward:

Winter supplies – food, medications, lighting, and heating costs.

Utility sink installation – to make water changes and tank cleanings safer, easier, and more realistic. (After a year of hauling 5-gallon buckets up and down the stairs, my shoulders are feeling it!) I've received 2 quotes for this project from licensend plumbers and the cost will be around $2,500.)

Electricity costs – to run water heaters and maintain safe tank temperatures throughout winter.

These turtles rely entirely on human help to make it through the harsh months ahead. With your support, I can give them a safe, healthy, and comfortable winter.
