Winter Storm Relief-Jefferson Community Church

We are so grateful and blessed to be surrounded by a loving and caring community. Like many of our neighbors we have suffered damage due to the severe winter storms last week. We found the basement of our sanctuary, which houses our choir rooms, flooded with more than a foot of water. In addition the sub-basement which is adjacent to the choir dressing rooms and houses our air conditioners and heater was flooded with three to four feet of water. We do not yet know the extent of the damage but do know that we will need assistance in raising the funds needed to get estimates for the damages. We know that the estimates will include a service call for the AC repair man, Heating repair man, a general contractor and and electrician. We do plan to file an insurance claim however, our deductible is high and in the past we have not fared well with assistance from them.
If you can find it in your heart to help us with anything we would be so grateful! Our church is focused on serving the community through our food pantry, thrift store, ministry and dedication to the education of our Cooper Academy students.
We are working with our neighborhood churches to build a community of faith and service in the name of the Lord. We believe in helping all people with out discrimination or question for we are all the Lord's children. n
