Winter Storm Recovery Fund, Big Moose Mountain

Tax deductible
The impact of the December 19 flooding event on our mountain was a hard way to start the ski season. Several inches of intense rain combined with melting snowpack completely derailed our snowmaking ability. Several roads around the base also received substantial damage. Since then, we have had the assistance of local contractors to put things back together. We are awaiting a few parts before we restore power to the pumphouse with the goal to be able to make snow again soon.
Any funds received will be put towards the expenses associated with this storm and help us prepare for the re-opening of the mountain.

Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to the Moosehead Lake ski community.

Friends of the Mountain: Incorporated in 2012, the non-profit 501c(3) group manages the lease of Big Moose/Big Squaw Mountain Ski Area at Moosehead Lake in Maine. The mountain was abandoned in 2010. The group services the chairlift, base lodge, groomers, snow making and a vast network of downhill and nordic trails. All contributions are 100% tax deductible and support our mission to provide affordable, outdoor winter recreation in rural Maine.
