The supplies from our last lorry at the start of November are now dwindling despite having been topped up with 3 pallets of Yora and several additional van loads. Inga and her husband have distributed the supplies across Ukraine and the pictures of all our recipients can be seen in the Paw Help UK - Ukraine humanitarian facebook group, we are now putting together our next lorry, which we hope will be leaving UK in a months' time. Again, we are hoping to send out a full HGV load.
We may split some of the load with another organisation, but we also need additional funds to get the aid into our hubs from where we will be building the pallets. We have supplies spread around the country and have already begun moving them into place, with the first load arriving today in our storage, courtesy of 1stclasslogistics who helped us out. This van load was kindly collected by Martin in Saltburn who is always one of our big providers of aid.
David Ury has kindly offered us to help move some of the stuff from Devon and I myself will be consolidating a lot of the aid and preparing the pallets ahead of departure. We plan to send around 20 tonnes of animal aid - primarily food that will help the many mini shelters we support to get through what is already an arduous winter, due to the constant attacks on the electrical grid. Peter up in Sunderland has also been in touch to say that he has bags ready to go.
The supplies and volunteers are ready to go, now we just need money to pay for the lorry and some of the connecting logistics, please dig deep this Christmas and spread some festive joy with furry friends from Ukraine :)
