WINTER LIGHTS for the Peace Arch

We are inviting Americans, Canadians, friends, and neighbors to join us in celebrating the re-opening of the USA – Canada border” by helping the International Peace Arch Association establish a NEW annual WINTER LIGHTS program at Peace Arch State and British Columbia Provincial Parks.

EVERY DOLLAR donated before December 9th, 2021, will be MATCHED up to $1,200 TO HAVE YOUR GIFT BE DOUBLED

Currently, we have $785 dollars donated at GO FUND ME and another $700 Donated by the Gill Family owners of Blaine Mart 
and D Street Shell Gas Station. We have an additional  $25 donation by check.  BONUS MATCH $70. Currently, our total online and offline DONATION  total is = $1580. 

We are over one-third of ($1,580) the way to our $4,500 GOAL to establish a WINTER LIGHTS PROGRAM for the International 
Park (LED for giant park hedges).

Our cross-border community is inspirational. Americans and Canadians have endured the pandemic together and found great solace in their peace park. So let's come together to celebrate the re-opening of our borders!  

Let's light up our glorious park during the dark winter months to bring joy and cheer to all who pass by as they travel between countries this holiday season and for many to come.
 
The Winter Lights program will illuminate the gardens surrounding the base of the Peace Arch with COMMERCIAL LED lighting annually during December and January.
 
Our first step is to raise $4,500 to fund lights for the giant hedges surrounding the Peace Arch. An additional $7,000 will allow us to add lighted American and Canadian flags, and another $8,000 beyond that will purchase lights to wrap the two giant trees near the arch, leading to an overall funding goal of $19,500.

PHASE | LEVEL 1: $4,500 to establish the 2021 inaugural Winter Lights program that will feature commercial LED lights on the hedges that surround the Peace Arch.

IF WE RECEIVE PROJECT DONATIONS ABOVE $4,500,

THE ADDITIONAL FUNDING WILL BE USED AS FOLLOWS:

PHASE 2: additional $7,000 to add two 8' x 6' commercial LED flags, one American and one Canadian ($3,500 each).

PHASE 3: additional $8,000 wrap the two giant trees.

TOTAL FUNDING NEEDED FOR PHASE 1,2, & 3: $19,500.
