Help Great Pyrenees Rescue Montana Survive the Winter
Winter in Montana is beautiful—but for rescue dogs, it is also harsh, dangerous, and unforgiving.
Great Pyrenees Rescue Montana (GPRM) is heading into the coldest months of the year, and we urgently need support to keep our dogs warm, fed, and safe.
This winter, our rescue is facing:
Rising vet bills for emergency care, spay/neuter, medications, and chronic conditions
High demand for intakes as working dogs, strays, and abandoned Pyrs need help more than ever
Increased costs for food and supplies, especially for puppies, seniors, and medical cases
Transport expenses to move dogs to foster homes and forever families across the region
Harsh weather conditions that require insulated shelters, straw, boots, coats, and safe housing
GPRM is 100 percent volunteer-run. We don’t have a facility, paid staff, or state funding.
What we do have is a small, dedicated team, amazing fosters, and dozens of dogs who depend on us to survive the Montana winter.
Your donation makes a direct impact:
* $25 provides a bag of puppy pads
* $50 buys a week of food for a large-breed dog
* $100 covers vaccines or medications
* $200 helps with emergency boarding
* $300–$600 supports spay/neuter and vet visits
* Any amount helps more than you know
Every dollar goes straight to the dogs.
Why we’re asking now
Intakes increase every winter—livestock guardian dogs lose jobs, working dogs wander, puppies are born outside in sub-zero temps, and stray Pyrs are found frostbitten, starving, or injured. Winter is our busiest and most expensive season, and we cannot do it alone.
We can’t save them without you
Your support keeps our rescue running. It allows us to answer the phone when a dog needs help, say “yes” to emergency intakes, and provide warmth, comfort, and hope to dogs who have nowhere else to go.
If you believe in rescue, community, and giving these gentle giants a second chance, please donate and share.
From all of us at Great Pyrenees Rescue Montana—
thank you for helping us get through the winter.
