I teach at a Title 1 school where many of our kindergarten and Pre-K students come from low-income families. As the winter months approach, I see firsthand how difficult it can be for some of our youngest learners to stay warm without the proper clothing. Many arrive at school without coats, hats, or gloves, and it breaks my heart to know that something as simple as a warm jacket can make such a big difference in their day-to-day lives.
