Hi everyone, my name is Kristina. I recently moved to CA with my precious boy Winston. About a month ago I noticed he was very hesitant to walk, go up stairs, & jump on the couch. Winston is a 4 year old French Bulldog who is the sweetest boy.

After being in California for only 10 days, his condition escalated very rapidly. We received news that he has IVDD (intervertebral disc disease) which was confirmed via an X-ray. He was ordered to have strict rest & has been on muscle relaxers, nerve pain blockers & anti inflammatory medication which did not help at all. I would wake up to him crying in pain in the middle of the night.

yesterday 7/19 was the scariest day of both of our lives. After going for a potty break, he started to cry in severe pain & quickly went into a respiratory crisis. Had severe labored breathing which can become fatal due to his breed. His tongue turned blue. By the grace of God, I was able to rush him to an urgent care. In a city/state where I know nothing, this was extremely stressful. They were able to stabilize him over night, when I picked him up in the morning they recommended to transfer him to a different hospital who had a neurologist/neurosurgeon on staff. Which i immediately did. Today 7/20, we met with the neurosurgeon for an MRI, which turn into emergency neck surgery. He had ruptured his C4/C5 Spine. Thank God, his surgery was successful. This entire ordeal has been stressful emotionally, mentally, & financially.
