Meet Baby Winslie.

At just 2 months old, Winslie has already shown more strength and resilience than many do in a lifetime. Born as one of three beautiful triplets, she came into the world prematurely. Despite her tiny size, she’s been a fighter from the start.

On May 10, 2025, Winslie was diagnosed with a rare and life-threatening liver condition called Biliary Atresia. She underwent an urgent and complex surgery known as the Kasai procedure, where surgeons rerouted her small intestine directly to her liver because she had no gallbladder. This surgery is her best shot at buying precious time—time before a liver transplant, which is highly likely.

Her doctors say the surgery has about a 60% chance of success. Success, in this case, means delaying a liver transplant for years—hopefully until her teenage years. Her liver has already sustained damage, and the future is uncertain but we are hopeful for this little fighter.

All the proper steps are being taking and Winslie is blessed to be in the hands of a wonderful medical team. As you can imagine, this has placed an overwhelming emotional and financial burden on Winslie’s family. They had been preparing to move out of state at the end of July and had already given up their current housing starting then. Now, with Winslie’s need for intensive post-operative care in the area, they’ll without a home and without income, having halted work to focus on the birth and the move.
