Winona was first diagnosed with uterine cancer in October of last year. Early this year, she received news that the particularly aggressive form of cancer had spread across her body. After multiple ineffective rounds of chemotherapy and radiation treatment, Winona has begun immunotherapy to combat the disease, which has now also spread to her neck. She has lost essentially all of the motor functions necessary for day-to-day life; the ability to walk, the ability to chew food properly, and the ability to swallow.

 

However, Winona is going to win her battle.

 

As the end of the month approaches, Winona nears her appointment with the City of Hope cancer research center. However, the treatment is going to be extremely costly. A cost that her husband, Brian, cannot stand to bear alone. I am Winona's godson and nephew. I am writing this appeal on behalf of Brian, her eight year old daughter, Lily, and all of her family that cannot bear to lose her. I know most of you reading this are family and friends, sharing the same sentiment that we do. My heart aches at the thought of Lily not having her Mom around to see her grow up, so if there is even the smallest chance that we can stop that from becoming reality, then I think we owe it to Lily and Brian to try and make this happen.

Let's show out for Winona because we all love her! She is going to kick cancer's behind!
