Our dear Winnie came to England from Uganda two years ago with a heart full of hope. She left her young children in Uganda so she could work, build a future for them, and provide the education and stability, every mother dreams of giving her kids.

Sadly, life took a heartbreaking turn. Just a year after arriving, Winnie was diagnosed with a serious lung infection that led to months in hospital. Despite her strength and courage, she later received devastating news — she had lung cancer, and it was terminal.

After a long and brave fight, Winnie has passed away, leaving behind her beautiful children in Uganda.

We’re coming together to raise funds to take Winnie home to Uganda and ensure her children are cared for and supported.
