Wink is our first son together, he is what made my wife and I into a family, and today we received earth shattering news. He has a mass in his lung that is pressing on his esophagus, making it difficult for him to keep food down and triggering his gag reflex. This has been a sudden and distressing development, and we are doing everything we can to help him feel comfortable and get the care he needs.

A bit about Wink:

(This picture is the very first one I ever took of him and it was his first day as part of our family. It's what I see everytime I look at him, just Baby Wink, my Baby Wink.)

We adopted Wink as a baby back in 2015. He was 1 of a litter of 4, he and his siblings were named after the seasons and he was originally dubbed "Fall". He was this cute little kitten with 1 eye and a crooked tail, obviously "Fall" was not the name he deserved and it took a while to come up with something appropriate. I initially thought "Crook" because somehow he had a permanent break or little Z-shape crook to the end of his tail. I find it easy to forget because we've always intentionally not stroked his tail. So our friend ended up suggesting "Wink" to my wife and it kinda fit his little mischievous personality.

Since he came into our lives, he has been our light and a source of unconditional, never-ending love and affection. He has been and always wanted to be everyone and anyone's friend, has never shyed away from guests or any other animal. In fact, he's tried to leave with Maintenance men before like "What's the next stop, fellas?".

He is a very loving, supportive and nurturing big brother to what he probably considers his own children, his brothers Credence & Horatio. As the oldest (not by much with Credence, maybe a week or 2) he taught them to groom themselves and litter trained

both of his brothers. When they need a cuddle buddy, Wink is the obvious choice as he tends to want to hug them as they sleep.

Wink will need to see a specialist for a consultation to determine the best course of action. If surgery is an option, we will pursue it to give him the best chance at recovery. All funds raised will go directly toward Wink's medical bills, specialist visits, and any treatments or surgery he may require. Your support will help us cover these urgent expenses and ensure Wink gets the care he deserves.

I will be posting the bills and relevant documents as they come up. The ER visit has already cost $1,199.25 and I have posted that as an update and once we get the follow-up information for the specialist, that will be posted as well.

Wink has so much more life to live, so much more love to give.
