1 Dollar = One kilometer of action for Earth’s most vital lifelines
Early July 2026, we, Leanna and Timm, will embark on a world-first Race with Nature, a groundbreaking 30,000km cycling expedition from Alaska to Patagonia, inspired by the world’s greatest endurance athletes: migratory birds. On this quest, we will emulate the migrations of three GPS-tagged shorebirds, to empower a shift in perspective: from humans as exploiters of nature, to humans as guardians of the web of life.
The 9-month Wings of Survival expedition will push us to our mental and physical limits, as we experience the challenges of endurance and survival across this major bird migration corridor.
In the last 50 years alone, we’ve lost over 70% of global wildlife populations and many species are on the brink of extinction. Nature is collapsing – and with it, the balance that sustains human life. Fortunately, scalable solutions are available and together we can rewrite the story for people and planet. The time to act is now!
Over the past five years, we have worked tirelessly on shaping Wings of Survival into an impact initiative for people and planet. Our partnership network now includes international film producers, scientists, educators, brands, NGOs, and government.
To unlock the full potential of Wings of Survival, we require additional financial support. We invite you to join forces with us, by sponsoring the pedal strokes that we take for nature: every dollar secures a kilometer of stories and action for the planet.
You can learn more about Wings of Survival by visiting our website, and we invite you to follow our Instagram account. Welcome to the story!
