Help the Wingos Family
Donation protected
On Tuesday, June 26th the beloved Wingos restaurant in Georgetown had an accidental fire that has left the space gutted and unusable. While insurance will cover damages to the building and subsequent repairs, it does not cover the wages of the 24 incredible Wingos employees.
Our goal here is to raise funds for rent, groceries, childcare, and other basic needs for the Wingos staff. This does not go towards the building, repairs, or the owner Mike but just to the cooks, cashiers, and delivery drivers who make Wingos the special hole-in-the-wall restaurant that DC knows and loves.
Any donation helps. Wingos will be opening a new location in four weeks and will be providing work for everyone at the Georgetown location. Between now and then, your contribution will make a world of difference for the staff of this wonderful institution.
As as a former employee, I know that this is a special group of people and I thank you for your contribution from the bottom of my heart.
