Wingo Elementary Tornado Relief Fund

Hello! My name is Dustin Wells with Wishing Well BBQ. As you may know, I am not only a BBQ Pitmaster, but I am a Music Teacher at Wingo Elementary School in Graves County Kentucky.

On December 10th at approximately 9:30pm. our community was hit with what could be one of the largest and most destructive tornados to ever touch down. This tornado completely destroyed our town of Mayfield, Kentucky.

Wingo Elementary School is located right outside of Mayfield and the tornado ultimately passed through parts of our community destroying approximately 25 of our students’ homes. We could still continue to find several students throughout the next several days that are in this situation. These students, between the ages of 5-13, have lost their homes, loved ones, and all of their basic necessities. We are still currently gathering information about what these students will need to have their basic needs met.

Being the Music Teacher, I see all of these students in my classroom 2-3 times per week and would like to ensure that these students have all of their needs met. My goal is to raise at least $10,000 with 100% of the proceeds going to the Wingo Elementary School Family Resource Center in order to provide these students the things they need to survive and overcome this tragic event. Family Resource will not be giving the family money directly, but instead, will purchase items they will need to rebuild their lives, provide food, shelter, clothes, or school supplies, or any other necessity for life.
