In May, I will be strapped to the wing of an aircraft, several thousand feet in the air, questioning all of my life choices.

This is happening because my husband thought it would be a romantic anniversary gift.

(I’m choosing to believe he isn’t trying to get rid of me.)

Terrifying personal challenge aside, I’m doing this to raise money for Many Tears Animal Rescue, a rescue incredibly close to my heart.

Everyone who knows me knows I’m a massive supporter of Many Tears and the work they do, all three of my reprobates came from there. They do truly life-changing work for dogs who have been abandoned, neglected, or simply forgotten, giving them safety, care, and the chance of a second start.

As someone who works with dogs every day, I see first-hand just how much love, patience, and resources go into changing their lives.

If me clinging to a plane wing can help even a handful of dogs get the futures they deserve, then it’s worth every second of fear (and every grey hair this may cause).
