Greetings! We are The Windsor Village Church Family here in the Houston area. We are a church ministry that has been serving our community for over 30 years. As many of you know, our city has experienced unprecedented flooding from our first major hurricane in over a decade. Many families have been displaced, stripped of priceless items, and made desperate for resources.
As the body of Christ, we have a responsibility to pray and seek God for peace for all who have been affected. We also have a responsibility to meet the needs of the people. As The Windsor Village Church Family, our hearts are pressed to do whatever we can to aid our fellow Houstonians in their time of need. The number of people who need our support is tremendous and while we may not be able to help each one...we are committed to do our best. But we will need your help!
We are looking for people to partner with us as we raise funds to assist those whose lives have been changed. There are families who have lost things that we often take for granted – clothes, cars, precious memorabilia; some possessions that will never be replaced. There are business owners whose establishments have been taken over by water, leaving nothing behind of what they worked so hard to build. There are single mothers who have watched everything they have sacrificed to gain for their children be washed away in the rain. Insurance claims will take weeks if not months to process, and many will have nothing in the meantime to live from day to day. This is our opportunity to unite together and ensure the next phase of their lives is better than the current situation in which they have been placed.
Right now, we are housing families here at our facility while providing food, shelter, and entertainment. But there is more you can help us do! Our goal is to raise $1,000,000 to assist these families and countless others across the city. These funds will be used to repair and replace essential items destroyed by Hurricane Harvey. We believe that our God starts at "exceedingly" and moves to "abundantly" (Ephesians 3:20). We don't just want the victims of Hurricane Harvey to survive; we want them to thrive long after the storm. So please partner with us as we aim to raise money to bring help and hope to as many people as possible. With your contribution, we can do the seemingly impossible for many families who call the Houston area home.
